Todd Lofts

Todd Lofts

Historic Living at it's Finest

Todd Lofts was originally constructed in 1892 as a brewery and ice making factory. The building functioned successfully as a brewery until 1916 when Prohibition brought the demise of The Richmond Brewery. The property was sold and for six decades the building produced pork products under the Todd Ham and Smithfield Ham brands, hence the name Todd Lofts.
In 1998 the Smithfield brand returned to Smithfield, VA but you can still see the Todd Ham logos and advertisements on the exterior of the building today. The building is now one of Richmond, Virginia’s most unique places to live.
We offer great views, a perfect location, and historical living at it’s best! Todd Lofts @ Hermitage is the next place you will want to call home.
